About Me

*** NEW LAYOUT COMING SOON ***
Here's what they're saying about "Welcome to the Breakdown!" ...
Mikey James is a new talented artist from Los Angeles, CA. His debut EP "Welcome to the Breakdown!" contains 4 catchy powerpop songs. He's got a great sense of making infectious melodies that bring thoughts to Fountains of Wayne and The Click Five. There are also moments on this EP that makes me think of The Rembrandts sunny pop. The opening track "She cries" would make Danny Wilde proud for sure.
"Let me in" is powerpop by the book. This song sounds like the lead track of the EP and a soundtrack for the summer.
The more soft "Fall away" has a fresh breeze of my friends in Swirl 360/Echo Jet, a real nice song. I wouldn't be too surprised if this guy owns a few Rick Springfield albums too.
Lots of great names being mentioned in this review and you can add Mikey James to that list as well". - Melodic.net
"A young artist with a very mature songwriting ability. Heart-felt lyrics, catchy hooks and aggressive guitar solos pave the way for radio-friendly powerpop rock". -- M2M
