FYI...I started producing music sometime ago in my home studio in the East Village. Initially I produced house tracks and had some success with the track by L.E.D. entitled, "Get on Down" on Nervous Records. Actually I never really thought about producing "dance" music, but after I started putting together a studio and using samples, learning equipment, set-up, production, engineering etc. I found the connection...Later I decided to just do what came out of me. I play all the instruments except for maybe some horns and vox here and there. It's basically ear candy and is somewhat like progressive electronic wanna be songs...I guess I really don't know what it is.
