I'm not really a tattoo artist - but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. How overdone is that? Actually, I've been staining skin for about 9 years now. After graduating from The Savannah College of Art & Design in 1991 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in illustration, I married my college sweetie Holly, & spent the next 9 years playing the freelance (starving) artist/illustrator game. I eventually ended up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast where I started painting murals & tattooing fulltime. I've been playing bass guitar for about 20 years & formed several bands, two of which produced CD's -Blackwater & Guzzo (co-founded with James Earle from NYC). Then came the swampsludge metal of The Maggot Farm. Life was great enough when in 2004 I was blessed with a son, Tully Gray. With a cool job tattooing, a great family & a nice slice of land in the country I figured it couldn't get any better. WHAM!!! Hurricane Katrina graced us with her awesome presence on Augusta 29, 2005. Well, now I find myself relocated to Augusta, GA where I have been welcomed into the fold at A Dermagraphic Production Tattoo Studio . Closer to home & family, & far from any hurricanes I will continue to leave my mark in this world one tattoo at a time.
