ABOUT COY CLARK -Emerging out of what some may have once called a disfunctional state of a somewhat unbridled nature, Coy Clark fell deep into what he calls "The very end of things" and there he stayed for almost 7 years. "The trip inside the trip" "The cell inside the cell" So, for all the good people and old friends from L.A. Who have been wondering where "The Kid Who First Walked The Earth" has been warming his bones, let's say he's been nesting in the core of his very own "blood" cells writing tiny melodies and monster lyrics on his piano for God knows how long, 10, 12, 15, 18 hours a day. So now it's payoff time. With about 9 albums worth of material, 96 carefully crafted songs and one long freaking story to tell, Coy is literally finally going out of his mind for a fun walk in the Park using of a very safe and familiar device called Rock N' Roll as rope. Joining forces with guitar prodigy Mr. Eddie Brandoff more known as "The Clone" and John Lennon's Imagine legendary and gifted Producer/Engineer Mr. Roy Cicala, it's a relief to announce the "late" birth of his debut record with his Motherfucking Rock N' Roll band Ghost Town Rd. "On The Couch Tour", according to Coy, is simply a great assortment of "finds" (finds is what he calls melodies and what most people call songs). This new album, says Clark, is just a Songbook going back to the L.A. years with all the good, the bad and the ugly before moving to London.Stay tuned for Ghost Town Rd.'s First Release "On The Couch Tour" Tracks are as followed01 - When Truth Means Goodbye 02 - Hitch A Trail 03 - Oddville 04 - Hello, Hello (The Worm Song) 05 - High, High 06 - When We Last Began 07 - Oh Carol 08 - I Fall For You 09 - Angels & Marigold 10 - Lazy Rose
ABOUT EDDIE BRANDOFF -Ok, Let's say, Eddie Brandoff has been rockin' south america for 6 long painful years now. A Legit, one once said. A Legit of Rock N' Roll. A Guitar Prodigy, that's for sure. Recognized by Slash himself, as the best effort of his own cover, Mr. Brandoff keeps blowing everybody's minds with his feel, heart and passion for guitar. I'm not sure if we could say that Eddie is "just another" urchin living under the street but coming out of a Third World Country in the 5th biggest metropolis in the world, São Paulo, it's very easy to find yourself in a state of humiliating poverty, specially when all you want to do is to play Rock N' Roll music. That is the real Fucking Jungle baby. Eddie Brandoff has been gigging every shithole he could find for a thousand people a night and getting payed something like 70 dollars a night. Well that just doesn't cut it when you are a big name in your country like Eddie, having played a number of times on national television and being Brazilian's sweetheart of MTV Brazil. Last year, Brandoff was the main atraction in the 2005 International Rock Day live on national television fo 180 million people which was a blast and gave Eddie the title of biggest music impersonater that Brazil had ever seen. In 2003, the man Slash himself finally gave hands down to our boy's immaculate work and sent him a video tape recognizing and thanking him and hoping to meet him soon. If you ask Eddie about the whole deal with the Slash Clone cover gig with his band "The Best GNR Cover" or his very first gig "Snakepit Cover", to him it's just a gig and it's fun to do but things have gotten much bigger than he ever planned. Signing autographs or constant interviews on MTV Brazil, is just not something he expected to have, impersonating somebody else. He laughs. Slash Clone on Guitar Player Magazine? That's Just mad. If you go see this humble sweet Eddie Brandoff playing live, you will definitely understand the level of connection and carisma that he irradiates in such a rare way. One thing, and that's for sure, that he doesn't want is to live behind the shadows of Slash. He knew from day one it was just a fun way to avoid starvation. This Year "The Clone" joined forces with rocker genious songwriter Coy Clark from Ghost Town Road to put together an all time favorite Rock N' Roll band mixing elements of rock dinosaurs like Queen, Floyd, Beatles, AC/DC, Bowie, Aerosmith, Thin Lizzy and of course Guns N' Roses. It's a journey, he says: I just want to make a great Rock N' Roll record with real memorable songs in it. I spent my whole fucking life trying to find the right singer with the right fucking voice that could translate the anger and awesome energy that Rock N' Roll is all about and now that I finally found a cat I could gel with, I just want to put my finger on it and watch it blow. Says Eddie with a grin. I've been listening to Alice Cooper and Aerosmith since i was 9 years old and now, to be working with such a legendary Enginneer and Producer like Mr. Roy Cicala who's done some of my most favorite records like "Toys in the Attic" and "School's Out", it's really a blessing and it's one more reason to make sure that Ghost Town Rd.'s Debut "On The Couch Tour" will "indeed" kick some serious ass. That's where i'm at.
