You were no doubt drawn here by the magnetism of my being. What I want is a good, strong monarchy with a tasteful and decent king who has some knowledge of theology and geometry and to cultivate a Rich Inner Life.
As a medievalist, I believe in the rota Fortunae, or wheel of fortune, a central concept in De Consolatione Philosophiae, the philosophical work which lays the foundation for medieval thought.
Optimism nauseates me. it is perverse. Since man's fall, his proper position in the universe has been one of misery.
