Hey wat up people Im Jennessa from St.Catharines,Ontario,Canada.I am a scorpio,so dont mess wit me,lol,.I am a singer/model/dancer, so I'll let ya'll know a bit about that. My exposure to music has been vast and still growing. This takes in artists as far back as Gene Kelly,Billie Holliday,Marilyn Monroe,Nat King Cole, Ray Charles,right up through Smokey Robinson,Selena,Janet Jackson,Cindy Lauper,Jewl and Madonna. I am 20 and did my 1st CD when I was 12,they were just cover tunes. The La Chateau(fashion line)in Montreal,agreed to dress me for 2 videos if I decided to go that way. Money was a problem and my family felt that at a young age there was so much more development as an artist to achieve. My mom was in the music field in her twenties,as for my dad hes totally deaf. I feel badly that he can't appreciate my voice,I guess thats why he doesn't seem very supportive of the career I've chosen. Several articles were written on me and I did the talent shows,charities and some television. All affiliated with my young career. The lack of funds does limit your progress but it didn't limit me to keep on singing. I have done some songwriting and hip hop dance.I was the Sunshine Girl for the Toronto Sun Newspaper(Dec,31st,2003), and I do some modeling for Babekini,and Denver Colorado Models. In 2004 I received a contract from a independent Label in Toronto,but didn't sign, you gotta be happy with your contract.Also in 2004 I partnered up with Femapco an underground hip hop artist who owns Tetrahedra Records in St.Catharines.He wrote,produced my first original single Dont Care. I describe myself as determined,outspoken,perfectionist,humorous,with convictions of an activist. I am gearin up soon to be working with Dirty South Records in ATL real soon!Its an Artist Development and recording contract.So Im real excited about it but I also got a bunch of mixed emotions as well(nervous, scared)but you gotta face your fears sometime!Gotta get up off your ass and stand on your own 2 feet! I am into POP and R&B, but I love all types of music I am very versitle( a true musician likes all music).Right now I am going to school for being a narcotic's officer, which I am really excited about! I also love underground hip hop, there's nothin else like it(lets stop that commercial shit!). I love to work out and keep healthy! I dislike men with big ego' and play games. I like people who are sincere,and respectful. I like clubbin it on the weekends and letting go of some stress! I also love doing a lot of charity work, and helping the homeless. It always feel's better giving than receiving from my perspective. Favourite colour Red and Turqoise. Favourite food Chinesse, dream place to travel Egypt. Im also a real deep thinker and get told often that Im a bit too emotional.I figure its better to have emotion then not have any at all. Have you ever looked at someone and saw nothing but hate beneath there eyes its a sight you never forget!Bein emotionally flat is ppl that can not show emotion and they make it seem that they have no emotion. And those who mask it by drugs and alcohal can not normally feel the pain they should feel. I like to study how ppl think and there veiws, like intense conversations even if they end up in an arguement .Figuring out there body language, its real interesting hearing what ppl say and think. Reading anything having to do with Poetry or Dreams really interest me too. I am very opinionative & as I always say I VOICE MY OPINION DONT LIKE IT BOUNCE! If I have something to say,Im gonna say it!Call me a bitch,or whatever you want,doesn't change my persepective on things.Im not gonna agree for the sake of agreeing,why should I kiss anyone's ass.I do me,and just cause Im a young woman doesn't mean,I dont have anything intelligent to say! I cant stand people who hate,just because there are people out there trying to live out there dreams. A wise person once told me that it takes 10 times more energy to hate. So why bother putting yourself all through that,mine as well just worry bout what your doin. Its alright to have an opinion about something and be diplomatic. You see I am opinionative but I can be diplomatic about it.Meaning there's no need to be rude,just say how you feel without bein an ass,lol. If the person is disprespecting you,then do not take that shit! Put them in there place,dont let anyone talk down to you,and make you feel weak! Another thing people who judge just cause they saw a picture of someone. People see my pictures and tend to think,wow she's a slut, or whatever they think. Listen here DONT FUCKIN JUDGE ME! I do what I have to do in life,just like anyone else. I am comfortable wit my body,but I respect it as well,so dont get it twisted. I am a good person, with a big heart,but dont think Im a push over eh. im like any other normal girl during the day.No make up, a sweatsuit just being me and comfortable. You dont like it then bounce!And when I feel like dressin up I will. But Im totally like any other girl, Im a 100% real. So take me for what you want,doesn't matter to me,I dont care what people think. And people suspect that if your a model you gotta a huge ego or something and think your better than anyone else. Dame do you guys got it all wrong! I have insecrurities like everyone does, and sometimes in front of a camera you need to put all that behind you and put on a happy face,even if you dont feel like it! Sometimes you dont always get to do what you want,but thats life. And I truely believe that everyone is special and beautiful in there own way. So to all you young woman out there,dont look in those stupid ass magazines.That try to make you think that you need to look perfect in order to get a man, and enjoy life. Its all bullshit,believe me looks doesn't make life grand,its the person inside that counts. I always say its not about how people look, its how a person feels. Dame if I could count all the times where men treated me like shit,and made me feel ugly and unimportant,it would be way too much for me too remember. So to all my ladies out there say this wit me k,I DONT DO WHAT IM TOLD,I BREAK THE RULES,I SPEAK MY MIND.IM STRONG AND INDEPENDANT,IM EVERYTHING THAT A WOMAN SHOULD BE! Thankx a bunch to the people who actually came to my page and read what i had to say,it means so much too me! Oh ya I have a few more things Id like to say that I think are important. Im not looking to meet anyone on here, my career is the highlight of my life right now and Id like to give 150% to it!Ive met a lot of terrific ppl on myspace, one simple comment about my smile that someone made(all your pics are gorgeous but the smiling one shows your warmth.To that person thank you for seeing me!Its comments, ppl reading my profile and taking a good look beyond,that make me feel that the spot that was empty, got filled in! Physical features are unimportant, because its the inside that really tells me about a person, the outside is just a shell( a pretty shell mind you but still a shell).I love to meet all kinds of ppl, ppl who are sincere,honest,trustworthy, which are traits that are truly hard to come by these days.You need to find out where ppl are coming from good or bad,to be able to strengthen ones own convictions.Now the msn thing it is nice to chat to ppl, but lately I havent had the time. So I keep my msn on but just for business,family,close friends,or ppl that are local. Now Ill admit once in a while something in someone will catch my eye and we will have a connection and then I would add you. If theres nothing in commen and your just adding me cause you said Im hot , thats kinda pathetic.But if I do add you & you piss me off dont think that I wont block you just like myspace.I wish I could meet Jewl,Gia,Selena,Janis Joplin,2Pac,Eminem,Madonna,Janet Jackson,Billie Holiday, Marilyn Monroe,Nat King Cole,Ray Charles,Cindy lauper, and the list goes on!So I think thats pretty much it,its a big world and Im happy that we all can interact this way!..
