About Me

I'm a musician/lyricist living just a few minutes outside of Nashville. I play drums, bass, Basic keyboards and do vocals and write lyrics as well. I've been playing since I was 12 and have over 30 years of playing experience under my skin. (THIS DOESN'T MEAN I'M OLD--I'M JUST EXPERIENCED.) I am a former student of legendary Cream drummer Ginger Baker who I studied with back in 1991. I am currently writing and recording in my home studio and have some radio exposure thanks to Mark Deren in Holland. I'm available for studio and session work if my talents are needed. You can also contact me if you're stuck for a lyric as I'd love to work with any songwriter that needs a collaborator. I am currently looking for like minded musicians to write and record with, possibly leading to live work if the situation is right. The pieces that I have posted do not reflect everything that I can write nor everything that I can do. They are 1 or 2 examples of what I can do in those areas.I've traveled a bit to the Philippines, China and throughout the US.
FYI--If you're a Country Musician please don't ask me to evaluate or accept your music. I don't listen to Country at all, though I have nothing against it. It's just not in my area of listening or tastes and to me it pretty much all sounds the same these days. Thank you!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: WYSIWYG
Band Members: Currently working on my own as Nashville breeds isolation until you can locate people to write with. There isn't any band on these tracks--everything you hear is me thru the "miracle of multi-tracking". Drums by Premier and Pearl with cymbals by Paiste, Rancan, Wuhan and Zildjian. Bass & Guitar by Peavey. Acoustic by Hofner. Keyboards by Alesis and Korg. The voices are mine. "Winter Tears" was written for my cat Syd shortly after he departed this world, a melody for a dear friend. "Lost In The Moonlight" is a more recent track that I'd like to do a second version of, but I like this demo of it for now. The lyric sort of "wrote itself" very easily and I like the subject matter too. "The Gypsy Boy" is a multi-voice bit and I did all of those voices over the course of 2 or 3 studio sessions. The Tea Shoppe was recorded at home over the Winter. Post comments about any of these if you want to. Thanks!

Influences: The Beatles, Miles Davis, Jimi Hendrix, Oingo Boingo, Pink Floyd, Brian Wilson, Yes, Happy The Man, Gentle Giant, Robert Wyatt, Elvis Costello, Leonard Cohen, Kate Bush, Joni Mitchell, Stravinsky, Julian Lennon, ELP, Spike Jones, XTC, Benny Goodman, Louie Bellson, Charles Mingus, Tony Williams, Weather Report, Steve Hackett, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Mozart, and a lot of other wonderful musicians and composers.

Sounds Like: You tell me!.
Record Label: None for now.
Type of Label: Unsigned
