I wrote this book very late one night after watching a documentary on Dr. Seuss. The show ended with a story about a friend who was with Gesiel on his deathbed. The friend asked Gesiel if he had any final words to say to the kids of America and handed him a piece of paper to write it down. Gesiel wrote this:"To the kids of America, we can and must do better than this!"Before handing the paper over to his friend Gesiel stared hard at the paper and then crossed out the word kids.
