Robert James' Januarys

About Me

MAY 17TH, 2009 This week we've decided to give you maximum coverage ... that means 10 songs, a mini-playlist, of sorts. With three full length CD's to choose from, as well as an upcoming release that's almost half-finished, you would think this playlist would be a breeze. No such luck. Fans come with their own special requests, usually based on time. A fan who may have caught a particular show five years ago or who is now hearing "Lizard On A Rock" for the first time will have a very different view from a fan who panned the first two releases, but finds a track from "Slouching Towards Bethlehem", our third release, most appealing. Balance and continuity are key. Having said all that, my Januarys and I hope you find a song somewhere on here that you can claim for your very own, a flagship of sorts.... We try to take great pains in finding a flow, almost as if these tracks assembled here were an album. As always we thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to the music, turning your friends on and making this a social event. Music is for sharing, and we especially thank you all for downloading it. It may be only 99 cents per track, but it's your 99 cents and you work damn hard for it. The nice part about it is that your money goes right back into the next song. We're independent and fiercely proud of it, making the music we want with no corporation hanging over our heads with their half-baked ideas (we have our own) .... and isn't that what you want? God bless and hope you enjoy .......... RJ and his usual band of suspects, The Januarys. Oh, one last note ... the Januarys, being the n'er do wells that they are, suggested we add a free download (which I've done) but to hide it amongst the tracks (which I've also done) ...... they're tricky folk, these Januarys!
