Angenita

Angenita: a talented singer/songwriter inspired by many genres of music from Soul,Gospel and Jazz to Rock and Pop.Angenita Started singing at the tender age of three when she would make up simple songs on the toy keybord given to her by her mother. At the age of 13 Angenita joined a youth band called 'The Truth'. They wrote arranged and performed their own music and performed in over 50 live music venues and took part in an anti drugs documentry entitleded 'Why Bother'. In 1997 she was invited by 'Michael Barrymore to sing in his show'My Kind Of Music'since then Angenita has backed various artists such as Leslie Garrett, Alice DJ, Lionel Ricthie, Omar, shaggy, she has performed at the MOBO Awards and much more. At present Angenita is a member of the London Community Gospel Choir and as part of the choir she has backed Madonna on Live 8, Beverley Knight,Liberty X and Legendary Sir George Martin (Producer of the Beatles)at The UK Hall OF Fame 2006 and much more. Angenita is currently working on her Album which will be out 2007.Angenita has a BA Honours Degree in Psychosocial Studies, as well as various music qualifications, she is the Proud mother of one daughter Imanni Shekinah and is embracing life to the fullest.
