About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)________________________________ ___________________________ Theologian, Part Time Deity, Communist, Optimist, Fascist, Florist and Thespian are all words that I wouldn't use to describe me. Above all if I had to describe myself I think pragmatic and rational would be the most accurate.Taking the red pill was one of the best and worst decisions I have ever made, good yes, because I am aware of the sheer absurdity of a lot of lifes goings on but also a big pain in the arse because I AM AWARE of the sheer absurdity of a lot of lifes goings on and have very little choice but to take part in most of it. Sure I could devote my life to enlightening the masses but why, when I could much more easily hone my cynicism whilst perched high atop my own ivory tower?I have itchy feet and not just from the public shower block I used a few weeks ago, travelling the world and seeing how the other lot live is something that I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. It's the cultural differences and unexpected similarities which are the most fun, meeting new people and testing old stereotypes are all things I hope to do at some point in my life. __________________________________________________________

My Interests

Furthering the already stirling reputation of the Sky City Jammers Basketball Club, get on board! Interesting people with a story to tell. I also like good advice and am fond of sandwiches, combine the two and you've got one happy man.

I'd like to meet:

certainly no economic girly men... ___________________________________________________________

Music:

The Darkness, Faker, Arctic Monkeys, Hill Top Hoods, the 'oars, Kings of Leon, The Spinning Jennys, Ween, Eagles of Death Metal, J.H.L.A, British India, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Brett Lees band '6 and Out', and most 80's cock rock simply for its sheer absurdity. On a serious note, say, an F sharp arrhaha gold, I would like to see the old band get back together... you know if not for us then the fans, danny just has to get over his orange sherbert addiction...

Movies:

Anything that takes a dry and sharp approach. Anything that has a giant flying turtle in it... like Gamera.

Television:

I dont watch too much T.V these days, however keep me away from a doco or you will not see me for the next hour. I cannot get enough of Family Guy i don't think they have ever had an unfunny joke on that show, am also a loyal Simpsons freak and to a lesser extent Futurama.

Books:

Apart from mind numbing Uni readers I actually do like to read, mostly history, WW1 (that not so exciting war)till the end of the Cold War. I also like some of the classic novels like Watership Down and of course you cannot go past $2 Sven Hassels.

Heroes:

I'm not sure if I have too many heroes but I definately look up to people, anyone who maintains an open and critical mind despite personal adversities or experiences. Robert F Kennedy, the man was one of the greatest to have ever lived. Mikhail Gorbachev another great leader, could have gone down the same road as every other Soviet mug but refused to compromise his own morals and sense of right and wrong. Bumblebee from Transformers for not letting the fact he was a little girly man robot affect his self-confidence or Decepticon flogging ability.

My Blog

Private Parts...

This (what I see as strange) phenomena on Myspace has been bugging me for some time. Is it just me or does the concept of a Myspace set to private seem to be a tad on the ironic side? Seriously t...

Cynicism, its just a way of life...

There comes a time in every mans life and I use the term man loosely in regards to myself that he reaches an epiphany of sorts, something which ultimately changes the way he looks upon the world. I be...
