The Better Life

Take a hard rock batter mixed with a pinch of pop and a dash of rhythm to move your feet, toss in the "fun oven" for 20 minutes, and presto, out comes a tasty helping of The Better Life.
The debut release "Last Call Home" from St. Paul's The Better Life takes the listener on a path most are, or will soon be, familiar with. The title track starts the story with the narrator talking to a friend about how quickly life moves. The tracks that follow loosely narrate the story of a young man who journeys away to college, and questions the value of his direction in life, only to realize that pleasing everyone else is the quickest path to failure. The album was recorded at Cathouse Studios in Sioux Falls, SD during the first half of January with producer/engineer Mike Dresch. Mike has helmed all three Nodes of Ranvier albums, as well as projects ranging from The Spill Canvas and local rockers Johnnyrook.
February 16th marked the release date of the album which is available for purchase online through iTunes, CDbaby.com, Napster, and Rhapsody, as well as our online store . The CD is 7 tracks long with a total running time around 30 minutes.
