Soldiers of the Apocalypse (SOTA) is an Airsoft team based out of Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA. SOTA was established November 18th 2006. SOTA has specific gear requirements for our members.
Mission Statement
SOTA wishes to promote Military Simulation Airsoft as a safe, productive, and fun activity in the Pacific Northwest. We hold ourselves as individuals and as a team to a high personal standard of sportsmanship and general conduct on or off of the field. Our goal as a team is to grow in numbers and experience so that we may better contribute to the local airsoft community by living up to the standards set by those that came before us and setting a new standard for those to follow.
General/Outdoor Loadout and Weapon Requirements.
- Must own a reliable working AEG (Automatic Electric Gun) and enough magazines to carry 600 rounds.
- M4/M16 variant strongly recommended. Exceptions may be made for shotguns and bolt action platforms.

SOTA is a PMC/Mercenary based group and has in the past used both US WOODLAND and MARPAT WOODLAND BDUS's, having these additional uniforms available is a plus but not required.
Team Arm Patches will be issued to new members when they reach full membership status. The SOTA arm patch must be centered on your left shoulder. Nametapes purchased for SOTA's uniform must be OD (Olive Drab), or MULTICAM, and the nametape must read "S.O.T.A." with exact punctuation and capitalization. Your "S.O.T.A." nametape must be centered over your left breast-pocket, folded to match the width of the pocket. For MARPAT uniforms it should be angled to match the pocket. Your team callsign should be on your right breast-pocket in the same fashion.
SOTA CQC STACK REQUIREMENTS
some of the requirements are Very Similar to the general/outdoor Loadout requirements, However CQC Scenario Based play is not required to join the team. CQC is more intense and competetive than outdoor play and it will require more dedication, time, and gear to be part of SOTA's Indoor stack. The Specific Loadout Requirements for CQC/Indoor play are as follows.

-Eye Pro (Full seal goggles)
-Headset With Mic & PTT & GMRS Radio.
-BDU's MULTICAM TOP AND BOTTOM
-Boots (preferably Tan)
-Gloves (preferably Black)
-Plate Carrier: (Multicam, Tan, or OD)


-Flash Light: weapon mounted, pistol mounted, and hand held
-Dump Pouch
-(4) Ziptie Hand Cuffs
-Balaclava, OR Mouthguard

-Sling System for primary weapon system
-(5) midcap or lowcap Magazines for primary Weapon system
-Secondary: 1911, Glock, Sig 226
