About Me
I was around all types of music as a kid. Old skool music like electric slide, to new hip hop, gospel. Name anything and i've probably used to hear it. But the song that i remember the most thinking back is, Rakim and Eric B.'s "Follow The Leader". Pops said i would start dancing everytime i heard that record!! Still to this day, whenever i hear follow the leader i can't help but to start boppin and singing the lyrics.Music has been inspiration to a lot of things in my life. I actually changed a lot of my fashion sense, the way i think and talk, and even the way that i live my life, but i did all of that for the better. I believe thats what music should be truly made for, inspiration for others so they can relate to you as a person. If the people can't relate to you as a person, 9 times outta 10 they won't relate to you as an artist. The main artist responsible for my transformation is Kanye West!! During a performance on 106 & Park, during the time of the clash of the titans, he said, "Not everybody wakes up thinking about killing somebody". Even though that may seem small to some people, that did a lot for me mentally. Ever since, i've been making my music to help inspire others, show the young that its cool to be smart AND spiritual. It doesn't hurt to have a good time in all of that too =)I really started to express myself through hip hop in high school. I was attending Berkmar High at the time and, I remember a lot people looking at me with my head buried into my rhymebook. Some would look and laugh. I guess they looked at my non-name brand clothes and thought, what is he doing trying to spit. But that all went away after they saw what i had in a battle against somebody who was supposed to be pretty good. Im not gonna say it was a manslaughter, but it wasn't pretty, for him at least. After that people started wanting me to battle other rappers around the school in the lunch room, in the yard, bathrooms etc.. I got a lot respect around school after the first couple wins. After leaving Berkmar High, I went to live with family in Stockbridge, Ga. There is where my never settle for less attitude for my music came along. My cousin Tamyka, who is a year older, was also writing rhymes but only as a hobby. One day, I showed her one of my verses and asked what she thought. She looked at it for a while and told me, "It's ok but, it could be a lot better". Little did she know, that as an artist that changed my entire thinking process. Now, everytime i write a song i try to make it as great as it can get. Now, I'm living in Jonesboro, Ga and I am very focused on getting a huge fan base and getting heard by industry heavy-weights. And that was my little hip hop autobiography for you "SPACERS". Want to know anything else, just hit me up and i'll be sure to get back at you. sports layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments
