I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a lifelong Florida native who wants to work in the acting business. Acting is something I've interested in for as long as I've been alive. About the only thing I like as much as acting is writing. If God is on my side and I'm lucky enough, I'll be able to do both and make a decent living doing so as well. There are people who want to get into the business to make money and be the next Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, or Gweneth Paltrow. That's not what I'm about. I want to act just to act. I don't care if I never win an Oscar or if my best known work ends up being a B-Movie popcorn fest. As long as I know I did a good job and it made other people happy then that's all I need.I get a charge just being on stage or in front of the camera. It doesn't matter if I'm the lead or his wacky neighbor.

My Interests

Movies (especially comedy, sci-fi, action), reading, comics, writing. I also enjoy playing Playstation on occassion but I havent do so lately.

I'd like to meet:

people who share my interests.Of course if we're talking about meeting a member of the opposite sex that I'd like to have a relationship with than that's a different story. In that case, I just want to meet someone who's beautiful both inside and out. I want to me someone that's laid back and knows how to enjoy themselves no matter what we do, whether its catching a movie, going out to dinner, or just sitting at home and relaxing. She doesn't have to like the same things I do but I'd hope she'd at least understand that my interests are my interests and try not to change them. Of course if she likes the same stuff I do then even better.UPDATE: For the past three months I've been seeing someone. I really really like this woman. She embodies exactly what I'm talking about. So while I'm not looking for someone to have a relationship with right now, I always like adding to my list of friends.

Music:

My tastes are varied but mostly I like 80s music like early-Madonna, Sting, and Billy Joel. I also like classical music like Mozart and especially Wagner. I'm a big fan of Enya. i also like listening to movie soundtracks like the soundtracks to Star Wars, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Glory, and Good Night and Good Luck.

Movies:

Like I said above, I enjoy Sci-Fi, comedy, and Action but really I have a taste for all types including classics like Godfather I & II (III is garbage), American Beauty, and Romeo & Juliet (60s version). I have a soft spot for cheese like Ladyhawke, Krull, Fast & the Furious (first one), Independence Day, and Clash of the Titans.

Television:

I was a HUGE fan of Arrested Development until some IDIOT at Fox decided to pull the plug. Right now I'm a fan of Entourage, Desperate Housewives (Yeah, that's right! A GUY likes Desperate Housewives!), Boston Legal, Dr Who. the NBC version of the Office, My Name is Earl, and Scrubs. I've tried to get into Lost but I got into the story too late and all recent attempts have made my brain hurt.

Books:

I'm a big comics fan although I tend to like the old stuff more than whats been done recently. As far as other books are concerned, I LOVE Shakespeare (Richard III is a dream role for me.) I'm a huge fan of Dave Barry's books, and I enjoy classic like Dracula, Martian Chronicles, and Shogun. I also love reading about ancient myth.

Heroes:

My real-life heroes are my paternal Grandfather the late Ernesto Freyre Sr, Ghandi, Martin Luthor King, and the guy who stood in front of the Chinese tanks at Tienenman Square.
