About Me
I've settled into my career as a Kitchen and Bath Designer for the past 20 years. I am a Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer, Certified Remodeler and a Certified Aging in Place Specialist. I design residential spaces for upper/middle and high end markets. I've won numerous awards for my designs and have been recognized in numerous magazines. I specialize in understated elegance while creating exciting spaces that are functional and enjoyable to be in. My passion for food and wine and my years of restaurant experience contribute to my ability to design personal spaces for my clients.
For as long as I can remember I've had music in my life. I have memories of my mother taking me to Sonny's Place on Long Island when I was 15 to see Ruth Brown and other jazz and blues artists. Then in my experimental years I was constantly latching on to whatever music was new. I enjoyed the improvisational music of the rock scene, the Dead, Allman Bros, Little Feat etc.. Then eventually moved to blues and jazz.
I carried forward the tradition my mother started with me, taking my son, Austin, into NYC to small clubs and venues to see live music when he was a teenager. We would frequent places like The Lounge at the Dark Star, The Metropolitan Cafe and downstairs at Penang (all defunct) among others. They all started with an email from Jonny Rosch with a long anecdote or some figment of his imagination. Always enjoyable to read (I miss those emails) and always giving advance notice of one day and sometimes of only a few hours.
We always knew that the music would be great and sometimes phenomenal. So we made arrangements and headed to the city. Along with Jonny and the line up for the night, you would never know who else was going to show up and play. The players include but were not limited to; Jeff Golub, Paul Ossala, Tony Beard, Don and Bill Harris, Steve Cole, Randy Brecker, Lenny Pickett, Shaun Pelton, Mark Egan, Chris Palmero, Kenny White, Julio Fernadez, Joel Rosenblatt, Scott Ambusn, Drew Zing, Anton Fig, Will Lee, Paul Schaffer, Chuck Loeb, Chieli Minuchi, Marc Cohen, Sammy Merindino, Jimmy Biggins etc. Lets not forget the different combinations of the Harris Bros Band and Avenue Blue. Many of these shows were the work of Jenna Lee. I'm still looking for a new venue to replace the old ones.
We move from NY in '01 to Columbus, OH. After 4 years in Columbus, we relocated back to the East just north of Boston. It's great to be back on the East Coast. This puts my wife, Sue, and I closer to our sons who both live in the NYC area.
