About Me

Andrew Sheron started playing bass in October 2005, and from then on soaked in as much musical knowledge as he could. In March 2006, he shared a few musical hours with Victor Wooten (bassist with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones), and was encouraged to pursue music as a career. He hasn't put his bass down since. Andrew is currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Andrew endorses Warrior Guitars , Accugroove Cabinets and Mono cases

By the way, though the title of the list below says "Top 20 Friends," I would like to clarify and say that I have a lot of friends worthy of that title and not enough space to fit them all in. These people you see are either successful artists I have great respect for and would like to support or people who I am great friends with and are undiscovered. They need all the listens and promotion they can get. If you get a chance, check out as many of these musicians as you can, and if you like what you hear, spread the word!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.andrewsheron.com
Band Members: Andrew Sheron - 4 String Bass Guitar

Influences: In no particular order: Abraham Laboriel, Michael Manring, Matt Garrison, Hadrien Feraud, Jaco Pastorius, Gary Willis, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Israel Crosby, the new solo bassists out there (and so many other great, great bass players). I observe and take from many other musicians that aren't bass players, like Bobby McFerrin, Pat Metheny, Leon Theremin, Emmett Chapman, Hermeto Pascoal, Kongar-ool Ondar, Tom Waits, Bela Fleck, Stanley Jordan, Evelyn Glennie, Django Reinhardt, Dave Matthews and others. Also James Post, Steve Araujo, Evan Marien, Bart Broadnax, Nick Suda, Steve Nishimura, and all of the other musicians I've played with who challenge me and help me to get better. Most of all, I get inspiration from the people I meet, the experiences I have every day, and from myself.

Sounds Like: One guy playing a bass - most of the time
Type of Label: Major
