About Me

I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!
Welcome to the homepage of Dead Eye! This game is a mouse-driven precision shooter. Here's the low down. First thing's first, you need to choose a sniper rifle. There's a selection of 4 different rifles. AS-50, M82-A1A, M40-A1, and the Anti-Material. Each has their specific profile with picture, and their own in-game crosshairs. Some are easier to use than others, and some are a little touch sensitive. It all depends on the gun you choose. Next you choose a difficulty. Scaling from easiest to hardest is Ensign, Commander, and Admiral. The difficulty depicts the amount of time you have in-game and how large the targets are. That's all explained in the game-play section. Based upon your score, how many targets hit, and how much time is left, you either proceed to the next level or go straight to your stats screen. Stats include: Shots Fired, Shots Hit, Accuracy, 3rd rings hit, 2nd rings hit, and bullseyes hit.

My Interests

Features:
-4 unique rifles. Each have their own crosshairs and touch sensitivity.
-Interactive armory. Putting mouse over the button will give you a preview of the rifle and it's statistics on the Armory display screen.
-3 different difficulties with differentiating target size.
-3 different levels. New backgrounds for each level, and colored targets to suite them.
-Intracate point awarding system. Recognition of exact spot on the target hit.
-Level specific bullethole memory. After each shot, hit or miss, you leave a bullethole that will stay there until the next level.
-Functioning clips, rounds, and reload system.
-"Crosshair Details", above is how many inches you are from the target, and below is how many points awarded for hitting that spot on the target.
-Pass/Fail level system. Need to fit the requirements to keep playing. Harder as levels progress obviously.
-Time Trial, you don't have all day to hit each target.
-Interactive Main menu, Armory, Difficulty menu, results screen, and ranking screen.
-End of game stats include: Shots Taken, Shots Hit, Accuracy %, Number of outermost rings hit on the target, Number of middle rings, and number of bullseyes hit.
-Ranks, the end of game stats, and number of levels completed along with your points will dictate which rank you're awarded with. All the way from Private to Five Star General.

GAME PLAY
After you choose your unique sniper rifle, you go to the difficulty screen. At this point you choose either Ensign, Commander, or Admiral. From Ensign to Admiral, the targets get smaller and smaller, to where it's nearly impossible to hit a bullseye with the time alotted. Each rifle consists of starting 10 rounds(shots) and 2 clips(10 round reloads). Obviously once you use up your rounds you need to reload with a clip, and you can keep firing, otherwise nothing's coming out. This part was tough to do, but the entire screen, except what's through your scope, is black. Though if you get too far away from your target, there will be a little red guidance dot that points you in the right direction. Not all the way though, it dissapears when you get 1/2 way there. Above your scope is a little red number that indicates how many inches your scope is from the target, so if you're moving away you know to stop, and turn around. If you use this along side with the guidance dot it's not too bad trying to find the target. Each level has it's own group of targets, and it's own setting. All levels are set looking into the windows of a building, but the buildings are different and the targets pop up in over 10 random locations. As the levels progress the targets decrease in size, so you can imagine that lvl 3 on Admiral difficulty would be near impossible. Either one of three thinsg happen that will end the game. 1: you don't meet the end of level requirements (accuracy %/# of targets hit), 2: you run out of ammo, then at that point the game checks the end of level requirements, of 3: you run out of time, which also runs the check. If the game is over, it takes you to a results screen that gives you average and cumulitive stats for the entire game. Based on that information, you get 1 of 9 ranks. To get the higher ranks you need to fit a certain criteria (ex. hit % 90-95 and more bullseyes hit than 2nd and 3rd ring hits combined). After obtaining your rank you're back to the main menu to try to play again.
