Born in the Bronx, TinyToonz was thrust into the incarnation of Hip-hop
as he barely passed child hood age. By 16, he was a member of the
Incredible Breakers, and later the Dynamic Breakers, dancing professionally
on a daily basis in such clubs as The Roxy, Red Parrot, Funhouse, Roseland,
etc. At this time, music legend Arthur Baker recognized Toonz potential
and took him under his wing, readying him for life in the studio. The
beginning of Toonz career in music was fast and furious. The first record
that he worked on as a writer and an artist was "Kim" with Newcleus while on
tour as a featured dancer in the Fresh Fest with Run DMC, Whodini, Kurtis
Blow, Jermaine Dupri, Fat Boys, and Newcleus. His studio time with Arthur
Baker quickly evolved into projects with Tina Weymouth ( tom tom club), Al Green, Hall and
Oates, Bernard Wright and Freeze to name a few. Upon arriving on set to
dance in his feature film debut, Delivery Boys, (he went on to perform in
several others including Breakin' 2, and Beat Street) the film's producers
dubbed Angel "Tiny" and the name stuck.Tiny has produced a wide array of artists such as Stacy Lattisaw, Stevie B,
Johnny Z, Father MC (now Fam Body), Mellow Man Ace, Kottonmouth Kings and
the Suburban Noize Souljaz, Killa Priest, Brooklyn Zu Ninjas (Ol' Dirty
Bastard's group, killer priest from Sons of Man)and Tamar from Prince and the New Power Generation. Recently,
Tiny has put his countless years of entertainment industry experience to
work by co-founding Meritocracy, Inc.Hip Hop 4 life!
