About Me
They call me Mom, Grandma, but all my friends call me Nonie.
I married my one of a kind husband 42 years ago in a small church in a little town in Missouri called Crocker...
We made two beautiful little girls in that small, one hospital town. They were our plan for life, but after we made the big move to Norfolk,Va. God had another plan for us so we had another beautiful little girl her dad named Nana Boat, it didn't matter that what hair she did have was red/orange to him (and I ) she was the most beautiful baby ever. Okay family set, older sisters hated her because she got all Dads attention...God sent us another addition, this time a red headed boy....We know NOT where the red hair came from.... He was the son we had been waiting for, at least his dad was.....
Long story short family was finally set.....
I became team mom, cheerleading coordinater, bleacher mom, not to mention Moms Taxi....
Proudly I watched as my girls played softball, cheered, played basketball, soccer, field hockey, singing performances, etc....
Our son played baseball, very good I might add, played football starting at age five, I ran every step down the sidelines as he made his first touch down, I think he was five....
Time passed, kids grew girls moved out one by one, moved back in one by one, with grand babies, my first one Brittni was the most beautiful baby with a cry that made us cry....
The next daughter gave us another beautiful baby girl, then the next daughter gave us a beautiful baby girl with curly hair, in the mean time we had a brother for Brittni, we won't discuss his looks, to us he was wonderful even if the hat couldn't fit his head...lol
Since then we have added three more to make us eight beautiful grand kids, four by marriage and 3 great grand kids....
We retired in 2001, Pep from Longshoreman and I from child care provider....
In order to get Robby to move out we had to move out the house...lol
Bought us a motor home bound for travel see the good old USA....NOT. We did a little then ended up in Florida...I call hell.... You only come here to die I say.
I am 12 hours from my family so I took up Bluegrass. I am one of the best listeners any musician could have....
I think I am addicted...seriously
I have met some wonderful friends, musicians etc.
There is nothing like a Bluegrass festival for enjoyment and meeting new friends.
Thats my story folks & I'm stickin' to it....
If I ain't in Va. with the grand kids I'm at a pickin' or festival somewhere....
