Finally, a new sound of music has arrived! Coming straight from our very own Nyack New York, an artist named Lucky Me! His music isn't like any other you have heard in the past. His music is fresh and is very easy to relate to when you listen.
Today March 26th 2007, I had a chance to sit down and have an interview with the popular new and upcoming artist Lucky Me.
1.How did you come up with the name Lucky Me? Is there a specific meaning to the name?
Lucky Me- My life has been so crazzzii !
it had to be luck - so luckyme fitts me.
2. What made u pursue your rap career?
Lucky Me- I've written poetry for years, but started taking it serious when i lost my son.
I felt this was the only way i vent and get hiim out the system.
3. What does "143 Omaree" mean, it is mentioned in all of your songs?
Lucky Me- It's my way of telling my son that i love him.
I feel good every time i yell it on a track
4. What is your sons name?
Lucky Me- omaree me lol
5. What is it that you bring to the rap game that has not been before?
Lucky Me- i briing versatility.
and I'm different than most.
I can make feel good music.
and competitive rap also.
6. The track called " Ima King" that features Brooklyn's own GRAVY; how exactly did that all come about?
Lucky Me-WELL HONESTY, myspace played a big role in that,
i reach out to gravy who is with Dirty Money Records
we work it out and it been a big blessing with my career thus far.
8. There have been a lot of rumors going around that you have problems with Saigon. Is this true or just another rumor going around?
Lucky Me- actually imma fan of Saigon and hes my insPiration.
A man that can come outta jail and make something of himself you gotta respect that
plus hes a diffrent rapper like me
9. Do you and Saigon know one another?
Luckyme-i spoke to him last summer
but i doubt if he rember me i was looking kinda rough hehe
10. In the future, would you want to work with him as an artist?
Lucky Me- yes.we both have diffrent and can tell a good story not to mention were talented as FUCK

11.I've heard the tracks that you have completed with Shyheim (The rugged Child from WU TANG). There has been talk that he has a movement called "Bottom Up", How was that experience for you?
Lucky Me- Shyeim is a real dude he showed me love from the jump. We had a real talk chat and plus
hes been showing me the ropes.

12. Are you signed to his label?
Lucky Me- nah its not like that he wanna see a nigga fly
he said i have a gift so imma show the world whati have to offer and plsu he wants his crew to shine
13. Where are you originally from?
Lucky Me- i rep rockland all day

15. Out of all the tracks that you have completed as of now, which song is your favorite of all?
Lucky Me- yeah up sand down i got alot off my chest in that song

17.I have heard that you were arrested in New City, is this statement correct?
Lucky Me- the accusations were found to be false
18. How do you truly feel about New City?
Lucky Me- i love new city. I really do
19.Are there any artists that you would like to work with in the future? Who would they be, and why would you want to work with them?
Lucky Me- oh thats no brainer
