About Me
OMISION hails from Tijuana B.C. and has been around since 1993 when Hiram (bass) and Heriberto (guitar) decided to form a death/thrash Metal band. There search for other members was quick, in a matter of two moths they found Miguel (lead guitar) and Vladimir (drums) to join their ranks. At first, they started playing cover songs and as time went by, Heriberto noticed that he was not fit to play guitar, so he decided to do vocals instead and recruited Rodrigo as second guitar. The five piece grew stronger as they practiced covers and soon decided to create their own music and shortly after finishing their first song, Rodrigo, left the band due to musical differences. After three auditions, Alex was recruited as the new member of Omision. After many house parties, Omision played their first real show in 1995 with Phimosis, Narcolepsia, Submision, Sentido Critico and Arcacia. Omision was suposed to play third, but they ended up closing the show. Overall, it was a fun night and the crowd responded very well to their set.
The band continued playing house parties until 1997 when Miguel decided to leave the band and shortly after that, Heriberto quit, marking the end of the first chapter for Omision. Miguel joined Thanatology (R.I.P.) and Hiram, Alex and Vladimir formed another band. After two failed projects, in the year 2000 Heriberto came across with Adrian, a sixteen year old amateur drummer who wanted to play metal as fast as possible. After a couple of jamming sessions Heriberto contacted Hiram to play bass once again, but this time no cover songs just original songs. In a matter of six months they had composed four songs and were working on a fifth song when Adrian had to move out of the country. Hiram contacted his friend Omar as a replacement, but the three piece line-up only lasted three months before they disbanded again. Two years later, Heriberto was ready to throw the towel when Adrian decided to regroup even though he lived in another country and since there was no guitar player, Heriberto played guitar. Two months later, they met Ixca and recruited him as the new bass player for the band and so, the three piece started creating new songs and resurrecting songs from the 2000 era. Their search for a stable guitarist was harsh, but not impossible. Carlos became the new guitarist and assumed all duties while Heriberto resumed doing only vocals, unfortunately Carlos only lasted three months and so Omision was without a guitarist once again. Emmanuel (guitarist and vocalist of the local band Bloodfest now Infernal Conjuration) jumped in Omision..s wagon of doom and shortly after Rigo joined in the ranks as second guitarist. The line-up was complete, and after several practice sessions Omision was ready to play shows. In September 2005 they got the chance to play their first show being the opening act for Death Metal masters Morbid Angel, but for reasons beyond their control Morbid Angel had to cancel. Omision (and the rest of the bands on that bill) continued with the show and played their first seven songs to the audience. Shortly after that show, Rigo had to quit the band, but a quick replacement was found, Hazael was the new guitarist.Since October 2005, Omision has had its most stable line-up since the birth of the band, but in June 2006 Hazael left the band so he can concentrate ..ing up college...JANUARY 2007, Emmanuel DECIDES TO LEAVE THE BAND TO DEDICATE MORE TIME ON HIS BAND "INFERNAL CONJURATION"...we wish you the best of luck...CHEERS!!!Omision has played many shows in the Tijuana Underground Scene (as well in San Diego, Ensenada, Tecate) as opening acts for bands like Usurper, Incantation, Rigor Mortis, Demilich, Coffin Texts.
