Cats, Dogs and What it Really Means to be Vegan

About Me

I am Jed Gillen and this used to be the page for a book that I wrote called Obligate Carnivore. However, as this book has been out of print for a while now (there might still be a few copies available at vegancats.com; I'm not sure), this page has fallen into disuse and neglect.
I now live in LA where I make my living as a video producer along with my partner, Mona. We mainly do irreverent comedy like this
but have just completed our first animal rights-themed video that I thought some visitors to this page-- assuming there are any anymore, of course-- might find interesting:
We have a couple more videos with a vegan message planned, so if you want to keep up with us, here are some of the many ways you can do this:
1) send a friend request to my current myspace account
2) visit our official website (& sign up for our mailing list while you're there, okay?)
3) subscribe to our YouTube channel
Don't bother sending a message to this account as I likely won't check it for another 1000 years.

My Interests

Please join my Vegan Cats & Dogs myspace group.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is open-minded and willing to have their assumptions challenged. People who appreciate a sense of humor. Vegans and all of their pups and kitties.

Books:

Obligate Carnivore is available on Amazon and elsewhere, but you can also order it from me directly by clicking on the link below. It's $10 and the shipping is free.

Obligate Carnivore citation from Vegan Freak

Book Review by Jack Norris of Vegan Outreach

There is probably no issue more divisive among the vegan community than whether cats should be fed a vegan diet. It stirs great passions from both sides. In Obligate Carnivore, Jed Gillen presents arg...
