What does it take to leave your mark as an entertainer in Jewish music and culture? A great deal of chutzpah, thats what! As a matter of fact, its that same chutzpah that allows me to rock Jewish holidays and life in a hip hop format. I hang my yamulka in Brick, NJ and maintain a stage presence similar to that of Clark Kent and Superman. At first glance one might consider me a mild mannered person and the last one to expect an enormous stage presence from, but many people have been pleasantly surprised. I started by rocking the menorah for Hanukkah and have moved on to additional Jewish holidays to give more mainstream music for my Hebrews and anyone else interested. If Kanye West and DMX can successfully rap about Jesus, why can't I slang some Jewish rhymes? You'd better make way for The Hip Hop Hebrew!
