·The Quills·Quinn Alison, Ben Egner and Tyler Bender. The three piece cut their teeth on local stages – entertaining diverse crowds – until the sound was complete, sculpted carefully into gestures and colors.
Tyler Bender on drums is articulate with a cymbal but not unlike a certain Muppet in a frenetic flurry; Ben Egner on bass provides relentless rhythm interspersed with call-and-response, bungee-chord-like expressions, displaying frequent lightning leg kicks; Quinn Alison is an animated front man who grins at a harmony and snarls with a guitar, keeping one ear out for the sigh of an analog synth. Their performance is meticulous and rambunctious, melodic and desulotry.· ·The Quills· ·
are invested in many projects – on stage, in the studio, and all avenues between. "Force each members' diverse background to speak up for itself," the music says. "The SoCal punk can play nice with the NYC jazz; The synthpop can sip tea with psychedelic guitars; androgynous thespians smash bottles and the fresh-faced boys sweep it up. Try to harness and expose some of that," the style of The Quills suggests.
Quinn Alison offers two sides to every story and can't refuse a little flattery...
The Quills are a gracious guest and look forward to big opportunites in the near, blinding future. They appreciate all requests to appear and any opportunity to further spread their music.
