Looking for local friends!

About Me

My name is Dee, and I live with my husband and four kitties in Chester, CT (a small town of about 4,000 people in central Middlesex County, right in the middle of Middletown and Old Saybrook). We just moved here in August 2008, and we'd love to make new local friends!
I received my Master of Arts degree in 2006 and currently work as a secretary at an attorney's office. I take a class for fun at a local community college because I miss being a student.
The TV shows I make a great effort to catch are House, Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Fringe. I also enjoy The Simpsons and Family Guy. I don't have cable, though, and since we've moved to Chester, we've typically needed to do the thing where you dance around the living room with a TV antenna waiting for the snow to mostly clear from the screen until we can even receive the Fox signal. ABC comes in, though.
I lead a quiet, low-adventure life that I'm happy with the majority of the time; sometimes I feel a little boring when I read college alumni notes and see the amazing things old classmates are doing in other countries and those sorts of things. I try to make time for my friends (Tuesdays are girls nights with Debbie) and keep in touch with friends from college (I drive/bus/fly out to Milwaukee every year to see Sophie). I like going for drives on nice days with the windows down, playing on the swings at the park, window shopping, and drinking tea.

I'd really, REALLY love to make some new local friends! If you live in Chester, Deep River, Essex, or another nearby town, don't be shy about sending a message. I'd be thrilled to get some insider tips on the area.

I'd also love to hear from old friends and classmates I've fallen out of touch with, along with new friends I've met who also happen to have a MySpace account.
