I'm the luckiest person in the world because I have a beautiful and delightful daughter and a fantastic my mom who I'm proud to say is also my friend. I hope to be around long enough to meet my daughter when she is my current age to see how she and her life evolve.I'd like to meet Jimmy Carter and Al Gore thank them for all of their fine work.I'd like to meet Omar Hasan Ahmad al-Bashir, the President of Sudan, and ask him how he can not just allow but orchestrate what is happening in Darfur and allow the Janjaweed to exist in his country. I'd like to meet every leader of every nation, especially George W., and ask them how they can sit and watch the violence in Darfur rage on with government-backed militias attacking civilian populations with impunity.

Issues that everyone should be aware of:
Darfur has been embroiled in a deadly conflict for over three years. At least 400,000 people have been killed; more than 2 million innocent civilians have been forced to flee their homes and now live in displaced-persons camps in Sudan or in refugee camps in neighboring Chad; and more than 3.5 million men, women, and children are completely reliant on international aid for survival. Not since the Rwandan genocide of 1994 has the world seen such a calculated campaign of displacement, starvation, rape, and mass slaughter. Please take the time to learn what's going on in Darfur and then find out what your represenative has or has not done about it and contact him or her and demand more, sign petitions, spread the word, please don't let these people suffere anymore. Please check out this website for information on Darfur:

Only through force of numbers can we save the people in Darfur!***"Hacking Democracy" is a HBO movie you do not want to miss. It's about the computerized elections and how the 2002 and 2004 elections were stolen. It's very disturbing and it's time us citizens did something about it. I've linked the You Tube site to all the parts of it as it's been divided up. I believe that this one woman, Bev Harris from Seattle, made such a huge difference on how the 2006 election took place, so many watched and tested machines and I believe it was in large part because of her and she is to be thanked. She also is proof that one person can make a difference! you can learn more about her and her wonderful organization at www.blackboxvoting.org . Currently, they are investigating the vote in Virginia as there appears to have been problems in the computerized voting systems there.***"Inconvenvient Truth" is another must see movie where Al Gore shows you in detail why the very real Global Warming poses a serious and fairly immediate threat to our very existance. You can see the trailer here and learn more about what to do in your everyday life to help at www.climatecrisis.net .***Here's one of my all time favorite political moments: Part IPart IIPart III
