Passion, dedication and hard work are the three main ingredients that have taken, T2 to the top of his game. This self-confessed “music junkie†first exploded onto Melbourne’s tightly-knit and globally renowned scene in early 2004 after winning the “Bedroom vs. Main Room†DJ Competition at Melbourne’s legendary Hard Kandy, sparking interest and inquiries from just about all major clubs in Melbourne. Within months, he was making regular appearances at three of Melbourne’s most popular clubs Bass Station, Elevation and 3D, yet there was still more to achieve. Not one to rest on his laurels, T2’s desire to be the best, saw him enter – and win – the 2004 DJ Competition at hard dance superclub Bass Station, landing him a residency at Melbourne’s biggest and longest running underground Friday night club.T2’s technical versatility and broad musical knowledge have given him the capability to match his style to almost any crowd which is one of the most important tool used to get to where he has.T2 has never been one to be constrained to any specific musical genre or style – indeed, his initial interest in dance music was sparked in the early 90s by artists such as KLF, JX, C&C Music Factory and Technotronic, and Trent’s personal musical taste truly spans the entire spectrum of dance music from deep house and progressive through to drum and bass and breaks. As often as not he’ll work techno, trance, tech-trance and a dash of the old school into his sets to keep his sound interesting and unique and keep the dance floor wanting more. This versatility has enabled him to support a wide variety of international artists including Carl Cox, Cosmic Gate, Thomas Schumacher, Scot Project, Marcel Woods, Mark Sherry, Wippenberg, Filo & Peri, Mark Norman, Kyau & Albert, Nu-NRG, Talla 2XLC, Teniahia, Kuffdam & Plant, Mac & Mac, Jowan, Pascal Feliz, Nick Sentience, Marzz, Kamui, BK, A*S*Y*S, Andy Farley, Vinylgroover, Ed Real, Lab 4, Kutski, Organ Donors, Walt, Brooklyn Bounce, Phil York, Thilo & Evanti, Luna, Showtek, Derb, DJ Dean, Max B Grant, Dark By Design, Steve Hill, Raver Baby Crew, Dyewitness, Max B Grant, Blutonium Boy, Technoboy, Alphazone, Steve Morano, Warp Brothers, DJ Promo, The Beholder and Slinky’s Dave Lee.In addition to his numerous residencies and production efforts, T2 is also well known to Melbourne clubbers from his many appearances as one half of the DJing duo Tonka & T2 and appearances Co-Hosting Kiss FM’s Pharmacy Show on Sunday nights. On the production front, T2 has been just as busy.
