I am here for Networking

About Me

I'm a blues guitarist, singer and co-founder of a rhythm and blues band named "What's The Word" that plays Memphis Soul, vintage R&B, swing and Chicago and Texas style Blues. We specialize in the music of The Fabulous Thunderbirds (their early stuff with Keith and Jimmie), The music of Freddy King (his early King/Federal recordings) and the best of The Stax/Volt label out of Memphis (ie. Otis Redding, Sam & Dave ectera). Besides myself, the band's current line up consist of my wife, Melanie Miller on vocals, original member and co-founder Lester Vieth (The Shuffle King) on drums and vocals. Long time and loyal member Mike Morris on Fender bass, and newest member Mick Verrilo on guitar. The band can be contacted through this myspace page or on the band's myspace page (What's The Word).

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Like minded people that enjoy good music (not just the Blues but for me mostly the Blues) and good conversation . People that can help with gigging opportunities. I would have liked to have met Ahmet Ertigan, Freddie King and T-Bone Walker. I still would love to meet Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.

My Blog
