We adopt influences from 60s psychedelia, 70s classic prog as well as 80s neo prog, but most of all, we see ourselves in the tradition of Witthüser & Westrupp, one of Germany's finest psychedelic singer-songwriter duos who did an amazing job in telling the craziest sorts of stories in a unique and lasting way.
Our lyrics combine various fantasy topics with a humorous approach of illustrating every-day and not-so every-day experiences. We sing in the German language because we like the tone of it.
Song descriptions:
Teilen macht Spaß is not an autobiographical narrative but rather a satirical statement on mass media in Germany, in particular the printings of Axel Springer. Due to their use of over-simplified language and their lurid way of judging criminals, people are exposed to dullness and silliness and thus tend to lose a clear sight on what's really going on.
Die Odysisy is our attempt to build a story based on a hybrid of two popular characters from Greek mythology: Odysseus and Sisyphos. The name of our hero Sisy directly derives from the song title which we made up before everything else and liked way too much not to use it. There's a cameo appearance of Salmacis included, you remember, that famous fountain nymph that Genesis did a song about back when they were young and kicking.
The lyrics tell the tale of charismatic and physically attractive Sisy who has an unsuspecting sip from one of ol' Sal's bottles and afterwards takes leave to a unknown and wounderous place far from what we know packed with chessboards and jesters on unicorns.
