Every few years, a new Hip-Hop act emerges, to interrupt the shine of conventional Hip-Hop.This year, Magneez has arrived.The creation of Magneez began after a positive response from a pirate radio station appearance on Juice FM. During this time Magneez began to develop his craft by performing on street corners in his area. The support of local community influenced his progression into recording freestyles for mix tapes using well known instrumentals as a backdrop to display his distinct lyrical delivery.He appeared on various local various local mix tapes such as, My Boyz which ignited his street-buzz on the underground Hip-Hop scene.The aforementioned mix tape which included well known artists such as: Estelle, Swiss and Asha D of So Solid Crew and SAS of Roc-A-Fella records was reviewed by RWD Magazine, which noted Magneez as the highlight of the mix tape.This contributed to Magneez releasing his solo mix tape like it or not volume one. It was this mix tape which caught the attention of Big Ted of Kiss FM and DJ 279 of Choice FM in London, both of whom supported it with air play.The overwhelming interest and demand in volume one of like it or not has lead to volume two being made.This mix tape is about evolution as an MC in the streets to an artist.Freestyles such as Breathe and Re-loaded (track 1) are consistent with the Magneez repertoire of punch lines and witty delivery, which is also true of the freestyle Kirk, a story that depicts culture within an urban environment. Whereas Shoot for the Moon (track 3) delves into the more emotional and serious side of the artist who has a viable audience.Taking this raw talent to the mainstream will earn Magneez recognition as one of the UKs most distinctive acts.
