My Interests

Blah-bitty freakin blah, right?

I'd like to meet:

NO ONE EVER READS THIS SECTION!

Music:

The Clash changed my life, no joke.Ska, rocksteady, skinhead reggae, early punk, classical, p-funk and hip-hop pre 95ish or so.
Favorite bands right now:
The Slackers
bluekilla
Hepcat
The Moon Invaders
The Dualers
Aggrolites
Firebug
One Night Band
and of course
The Georgetown Orbits

Movies:

Miller's Crossing, A Bridge Too Far, Westway to the World, Reservoir Dogs, Thin Red Line, Brain Candy, Patton, Ghost World, Repo Man, Heist, Confidence, Blackhawk Down, Office Space, 12 Monkeys, Bottle Rocket, Royal Tennenbaums, Usual Suspects, 28 Days Later, Hudsucker Proxy, We Were Soldiers, Fight Club.........

Television:

I like to queue up the DVR and record a weeks worth of movies on the regular.

Books:

Lost Victories, The Pacific War, Alamut, Watership Down, Lolita, Arabian Nights, Iceberg Slim, David Poyer, pretty much anything not by Victor Hugo.
I should mention that I briefly contemplated Eastern Orthodox Monasticism after reading the Brothers Karamazov. That's the only book you ever really need to read, then listen to Peculiar on repeat, yep.
I read The Stranger and Eat The State, when I need my dose of leftist propaganda. And Riverbend's Baghdad Burning when I need to be reminded of why war sucks.

Heroes:

Fanya Kaplan, Lt General Lewis "Chesty" Puller, Jackie Robinson, J.R. Capablanca, Salah al-Din
Bob Gibson:
