The history of Bad Boys Blue started in Cologne (Germany) back in 1984, when the founders of Coconut Records - Tony Hendrik and his wife, Karin van Haaren vel Karin Hartmann, decided to create a new music project. The original line-up was following: John Edward McInerney (born September 7th, 1957, Liverpool, England), Trevor Oliver Taylor (born January 11th, 1958, Montego Bay, Jamaica, died January 19th, 2008, Cologne, Germany) and Andrew Freddie Thomas (born May 25th, 1946, San Francisco, USA).In spring 1985 was released the single "You're A Woman", which became a massive hit in Europe.In 1988 Trevor Taylor decided to leave the group, but the band quickly found a new member named Trevor Bannister (born August 5th, 1965, Grembsby, England), but he left the group in 1993.In 1995 Mo Russel (born March 15th, 1956, Aruba, Caribbean Sea) joined the group, but he left in 1999. He was replaced by Kevin McCoy [Jojo Max] (born January 21st, 1971, Virginia, USA). Kevin left the group in the beginning of 2003.In January 2005 Andrew Thomas left the group. One year later, in January 2006 John was joined by Carlos Ferreira (born April 11th, 1969, Mozambique).The first lead singer of Bad Boys Blue, Trevor Oliver Taylor, died of a heart attack in his home in Cologne (Germany) on January 19th of 2008 at the age of 50.Brand new album of Bad Boys Blue produced by french producers: Johann Perrier and Antoine Blanc (MS Project) titled "Heart & Soul" was released on June 13th of 2008. It was discovered by the single "Still In Love" (released on May 20th of 2008), which included a few remixes produced by Almighty, DJ Alex Twister & DJ Elkana/DJ Moraz.For 2009 (the 25th anniversary of the group) there is planned a special remix album including brand new versions of the greatest Bad Boys Blue's hits.Also for 2010 there is planned another new studio album including brand new tracks only written by Johann Perrier/Antoine Blanc, but also by the BBB's Godfather - Tony Hendrik."Queen Of My Dreams" is gonna be the 2nd single taken from the album "Heart & Soul". It will be released digitally in May 2009.On June 19th Coconut Music/Sony BMG will release a special remix album titled "Rarities Remixed". The album will contain very modern 2009 remixes of some hit singles and album tracks that have never been remixed before.Of course our anniversary album "25" will be also released, the date of release is planned for September or October 2009.
