Night Train

About Me

NIGHT TRAIN quickly gained a reputation for Great Live Music with performances of their original songs & covers.
NIGHT TRAIN continues to receive terrific support from audiences whose response to NIGHT TRAIN performances has been simply overwhelming.
Some crowd-favourites include NIGHT TRAIN re-crafted covers : 'Highway To Hell', 'Come Together', 'Overkill' & 'Don't Change'; whilst the contemporary themes of NIGHT TRAIN original songs "Give Me A Reason", "One Man", "Waiting For You & Rollin' Down The Highway has something of a 'personal message' with many in the crowd.
NIGHT TRAIN start early & play 'til late and have an impressive song list to match.
NIGHT TRAIN are Barry & Paul, a Melbourne duo performing original songs & covers across the Blues / Folk-Rock / Roots spectrum. Barry and Paul have long established musical careers - from their early days playing in bands in Melbourne, they eventually pursued different musical paths before coming back together to form NIGHT TRAIN.
Along the way Barry has been active in the Performing Arts (both as a performer & teacher). Barry would also be found fronting bands in Melbourne, Darwin & Ballarat as lead vocals & guitar.
Paul has played with several Melbourne rock bands before co-founding the Melbourne pub-rock band AXIS where he co-wrote many of the classic AXIS rock anthems. In recent years Paul worked across Asia, North America & Europe before calling it quits (those regular long-haul flights from Australia to everywhere else in the world finally took there toll !!). Nowadays Paul can be found writing & recording new material with the @CHADZ Mobile Studio for the RED MAN-GREEN MAN Project.
The NIGHT TRAIN sound comes about because of :
a life-long friendship;
being fortunate to be able to listen to truly great & diverse music;
being able to see great musicians perform live [esp. those great Aussie artists].
our ability to perform & create our own music; and
Making sure that "making music" always remains fun activity.
