About Me

at a glance... tall, tanned caucasian. a bit skinny, a tad athletic. ah, and glasses. cant forget the specs.so, about me. um, it's hard to say, actually. depends on the situation. generally, I'm a bit shy, sometimes downright anti-social. i don't know why, but that seems to annoy people to no end.
I'm normally modest, though there are a few areas of expertise that i let my pride show in. the sciences, video games, a few other things. very few.I'm usually the voice of reason among my peers, thus, I'm the old man. i don't mind really.I'm as indecisive as everyone else... unless I'm not. my family is indecisive, and so are most of my friends. so, i often just get over it and say something. not always, so don't hold me to it.
I'm usually pretty quiet. and lazy. a bad habit, that laziness
I'm not one of those over-the-top emo-dramatic-goth-punk-rebel losers. I'm pretty normal. no dyed hair, no eyeliner, no chains or cuffs. i look stoned on occasion. I'm not. i just don't always have my eyes wide open.I am not one of you artsy types. i cant sing, i don't dance much, though i've gotten better with pencil and paper. just a little.
I'm surprisingly athletic. i generally come off as a quiet geek, or whatever. during middle and high school, i got my kicks by annoying those damned jocks that took over gym. since i could keep up with them, i got in the way on purpose.
religion... well, I'm an atheist. i bet i could right a whole essay on why, but i wont.I have a soft spot for jokes, particularly puns, much to the chagrin of some of my friends... hehe. another soft spot for cats... yeah.

My Interests

oh, lets see... there's video games. i have a bad tendency to throw myself at games i haven't played before,at the expense of almost everything else...
There's running + jogging, kayaking, exploring what's around me. I'm gaining an interest in cross country backpacking.
I'm interested in computers in general. i do HTML and CSS, never learned javascript, or programming in general. I've done networks, and building computers, and all sorts of odd jobs with comps. occasionally get paid. i don't normally charge friends and family though.
i read a fair bit. mostly non-fiction, with a few exceptions.
Cooking...I'm a pretty decent cook, if i may say so. i should probably cook more, but I'll wait till I'm on my own. i know the stuff... just need to practice. i don't like to practice when there are people around.

I'd like to meet:

not a whole lot of people actually. Most celebrities annoy me. i wouldn't mind meeting Alton brown, but that's all i can think of.

Music:

oh, i like quite a bit of music. Techno, trance, rock, pop, ska, game music, very little punk rock. reggae's cool too. not so big on country, heavy metal, gospel (for obvious reasons). groups include, but are not limited to: Bare Naked ladies, Billy joel, Maroon 5, Outcast, John Mayer, Dido, Smash Mouth, daft punk, the killers and Gorrilaz.

Movies:

I'm not big on movies. i just don't like sitting somewhere and watching something for an hour and a half. Though, when i do watch them, i prefer action, comedy, and kung-fu flicks. recently, I haven't watched a damn thing.

Television:

eh, don't watch too much TV either. I do watch Alton brown, a few british shows, the news, the daily show. Ninja warrior on g4 is pretty entertaining too. that's pretty much it though.

Books:

eh, I've all sorts of books. cook books, travel books, computer books, science books, mostly non-fiction. For fiction, i like the Lord of the Rings, though the Hobbit was the best out of the group. The dragons of Pern I've read and liked. The hitch hiker's guide.

Heroes:

eh.. heroes? um, not many. i look up to a few people, but i wouldn't call them heroes.
