I was born in Glasgow Scotland to a working class family. I have appeared in the drama GP on the ABC for 7 years, playing the character of Julie Winters and then went on to play Isabelle Turnbull in channel 7s Always Greener for 2 years, and Jessica Andrews in Headland for 12 months. I was excited to receive a nomination this year for Best Actress in a Leading Role by the Sydney Theatre Critics for the David Williamson play A Charitable Intent which ran for 4 months at the Ensemble Theatre in 2006.Diversification is the key to being an actor and one of my greatest passions is running Australia's Leading Film & TV Training School for Actors - 'Screenwise' http://www.screenwise.com.au (http://www.myspace.com/screenwise), which boasts up and coming stars like Christian Clark (Gates of Hell) and Ed Kavalee (Thank God You're Here) as graduates along with some of Australia's best known actors and directors as tutors.Apart from acting, I also direct and produce.
