Standing at six-foot-one with hair of champagne and eyes of a mischievous blue, Jerry Miller has been a working actor in NYC since his arrival from his hometown of Buffalo, New York, by way of Niagara University (BFA, Theatre) in 2001.
Jerry has recently been featured on “The Watch List†and “Atom Films†on Comedy Central’s Motherload, AMC's "Date Night," for which he hosted the film, "Big," conversing and joking with several potential dates, and he was recently interviewed on NBC's "Today Show" about the actor's audition process in New York City. Jerry has also appeared in programs on the FOOD Network, Discovery Channel, FUSE, Sundance and PBS.
He is a producer/writer/performer with the "The Royal We," a NYC-based sketch group for which TV Land funded an original series pilot for television and internet, their first attempt at original scripted programming. He has also written for and starred in several Fortune 500 internet ad campaigns with ‘The We.’ Jerry has co-starred in three additional pilot presentations this past year: “Bars and Tone,†"6x9" and "Kings of the Kitchen" which was for presentation to the Food Network. He had also recently taped a radio pilot for Air America. He can be seen in several national television commercials.
Jerry has done a number of staged readings in New York City, including "Patriot Game" at the Cherry Lane Theatre and "Stop the Press" at the Rattlesnake Theatre. He has been a writer and performer with "New York's Second City Review" at PSNBC. In 2005, he appeared in the Union Square Summer Concert Series and "SUV, The Musical" in the NYC Fringe Festival. His solo, "Mr. 203" appears on the "SUV" cast album.
He co-starred in three shows at American Girl Place in Manhattan: "Circle of Friends," "Bitty Bear's Matinee" and "The American Girl's Revue." His stage credits in NYC also include "Massholia" at the CSV Cultural Center and "Red," a dance theatre piece, at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center and PS 122. Jerry has also performed in "The Man Cow Show" on WKQX in Chicago and was featured as various characters on WXRK's nationally syndicated "Howard Stern Show."
Jerry's comedy festival credits include Chicago Improv Festival, Bass Red Triangle Comedy Festival, LA Festival of Sketch, DC Comedy Fest, Seattle Sketchfest, San Francisco Sketchfest, New York Sketchfest and the New York Underground Comedy Festival... In addition, he was asked to take part in The Great Sketch Experiment with The Royal We for Jib Jab and John Landis.
Jerry is a founder of Seven-Seven-Six, a charitable organization that raises funds for environmental causes through performance art. He is studying standup comedy with Jim Mendrinos at Gotham Comedy Club and most recently directed, head wrote and starred in a sketch comedy show called “Missed Connections,†as part of the New York Underground Comedy Festival.
