Socially Privileged individuals are born, they are not made, yet the desire to walk within one's social privilege is purely by choice. At birth, each of us were given the tools and intuitions to learn, grow and produce fruit that we chose to use to either nourish a nation or poison the population. Some of us accepted our calling to social privilege and began seeking and walking in our callings which often include the responsibility of strengthening our communities and those around us. Others chose to be victims and found themselves often on the outside looking in, making excuses for their failures and not fully utilizing their God-given talents and opportunities.
But a Socially Privileged individual understands the priceless value of opportunity and knows when and how to best utilize that opportunity for unselfish gain. This individual realizes the importance of maintaining a standard of leadership and confidence, while at the same time exuding a humility that does not offend those in his/her company. A Socially Privileged individual sees into the future and realizes the need to build and maintain strong business relationships that will encourage long-term profitability and economic growth within the community. The heirs of the Socially Privileged will inherit a rich legacy of integrity and wealth.
And surely, it is true that the poor cannot help the poor. So I implore each of my Socially Privileged peers to look at the world around you and decide how you can utilize your own skills, talents and resources to build and strengthen your community.
