About Me

Patrick has released his fourth CD, "LIVE THE BIRTHDAY SHOWS", which was recorded at his annual New Jersey birthday shows last year to sold out crowds. Patrick performed with his full band during the birthday shows, which included an ensemble of upright bass, percussion, violin, cello, keyboard and Patrick on guitar. The LIVE CD is jam packed with 17 tracks and is Patrick’s first live CD.Just a few years earlier, Patrick released his third CD, "COLOR IN THE DARK". Jeff Rusch from WNTI Radio said, “Some say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. Patrick takes you into his soul through his music. Emotions pour out of his songs like a wellspring. Sit back, wrap yourself around a pillow and listen to Color In The Dark. Enjoy the journey!” And Robert Resnik from Seven Days said, "Fitzsimmons' third self-produced recording, Color In The Dark, is yet another folk-rock gem. One listen to Color In The Dark confirms this dude knows how he wants his recordings to sound, and how to accomplish it. Color In The Dark is clearly the work of a pro."His second CD, "DANCE", was released in 2002. Dance appeared on several top ten folk DJ lists for that year. Mick Skidmore of Relix Magazine wrote, “Dance is a remarkable album of beautiful and thought provoking songs. Fitzsimmons’ heartfelt and often rhythmic songs are the focal point… His delicate vocals make him one of the most captivating, if understated, songwriters around today.” And New Jersey’s Daily Record wrote, “Perhaps the most beautiful sounding album of the year… poetic lyrics, hauntingly beautiful melodies, while also getting down right funky at times.”In April 2001, Patrick released his first full length CD, "THE CHANGING", to wonderful reviews and was voted as one of the top 5 Vermont releases in 2001 by Seven Days magazine. Robert Resnik of Vermont Public Radio raved, “This man can really sing! The songs are carefully crafted and range from pop/folk anthems to a number of masterful love ballads.”Patrick served his professional music tenure as a member of From Good Homes, a folk/rock band out of New Jersey, signed to RCA Records in the late ‘90’s. From Good Homes released three recordings for RCA and toured nationally, sharing the stage with Bob Dylan, The Dave Mathews Band, Joan Osborne and Bob Weir’s Rat Dog, to name a few. In 1999 the band broke up and Patrick moved to Burlington, Vermont and embarked on a solo career. He has been touring the northeast, drawing enthusiastically attentive crowds with his soulful, captivating performances.
