I've just found out that my real last name through blood is Pace. My grandfather of twelve generations was Richard Pace. My family, the Pace family; settled in Jamestown in 1611. Jamestown, located on Jamestown Island in the Virginia Colony, was founded on May 13, 1607. It is commonly regarded as the first permanent English settlement in what is now the United States, following several earlier failed attempts. This also means that I'm as American as they come;) I defined my pursuit in life, and not oddly enough, it was to serve God.I thought of someday when I would look back, and think of now; and would say that those were the days that seemed to be filled with many such possibilities. It was those moments that captivated the attention of those who were closest to me. Then I became aware that it was those very moments of feeling as though I could only be at the beginning of this potential happiness, that I was so eager to please. I realized that I was in the midst of absolute contentment. I was looking too far ahead to see the potential of what could have been seized within the moment. I am living in what will soon be a faint memory. But as long as I’m within this soon-to-be memory, I will continue to seize the moments that God has given me.-JRP
