__________________________________________________Greetings! My name's Royce, but feel free to call me Skippy or Skip if you prefer. I'm a 35 year old male in Winnipeg Canada, married with a boy and a girl. My wife is Australian and I spent a little over 5 years living Down Under, after a year long online courtship (see previous blogs) long enough to become a citizen myself. I was born in Winnipeg and we're back now where I am a floor supervisor for a customer contact center here in town._______________________I'm a pretty fun loving kinda guy and live to make my friends smile now and again. Aside from the moto in my extended network banner, I live by the credo: Try anything once, twice if you like, three for more times if you aren't sure. I've done everything in my life from bungee jumping to riding horses. And just so you know, I'm totally phobic of heights, and insects with black and yellow stripes (bees, wasps, hornets, etc...)_______________________My 2nd greatest passion is writing and I've been working for more than half my life towards the goal of one day seeing my name on the cover of a novel on the shelves of my local book store. My greatest passion however is my family. My little boy (also in my earlier blogs) is Autistic. He was diagnosed just this year and helping him to develop and get him ready to take on life with the same zeal that I'd like to think his old man does is the present driving force in my life._______________________
You Are a Hunter Soul
You are driven and ambitious - totally self motiviated to succeed
Actively working to acheive what you want, you are skillful in many areas.
You are a natural predator with strong instincts ... and more than a little demanding.
You are creative, energetic, and an extremely powerful force.
An outdoors person, you like animals and relate to them better than people.
You tend to have an explosive personality, but also a good sense of humor.
People sometimes see you as arrogant or a know it all.
You tend to be a bit of a loner, though you hate to be alone.
Souls you are most compatible with: Seeker Soul and Peacemaker Soul What Kind of Soul Are You? ______________________________________________

My Interests

__________________Get Your Own Voice Player Manage___________________Besides my friends, I enjoy golf (okay...I'm a hacker, but I still love to walk a course now and again, even if it does take me 4 hours),science (as you can tell by my profile theme), science fiction and the mountains. I love animals especially tigers (I've got a pretty nice tattoo of a cub on my left bicep)and bats. I'm a fan of mythology and fantasy art (particularly that of Boris Vallejo). When I'm not on the computer I spend my free time writing fiction (okay, trying), sitting under the stars, under a good hot shower, and living under the belief that coffee really needs to be officially declared its own food group (light and 2 sugar, thanks).__________________I'm also a comic book fan. No, I don't have boxes and boxes of semi-valuable vacuum sealed treasures from the 1940s and 50s. I reserve those boxes for my Playboy collection. LOL.Seriously though, I do love a good comic book now and again, mindless escapism and my favorite reads are the X-Men's Wolverine, and Bob Kane's contribution to the literary arena - The Dark Knight.

I'd like to meet:

While I value my time alone, I also take great comfort knowing there are people in my life I can joke with, confide in and trust not only to be honest, but to accept me for who I am.________________________I'm happy to meet anyone out there who wants to meet me and shares some common interest. After all, kinda hard to build a friendship if you don't have anything to talk about. All I ask is that you drop me a line to say hi and introduce yourself a little when or before you send me your ADD request.________________________But even if you don't, that's not to say I won't ADD you. I'm happy to check out anyone's page and see for myself if there's something there that we can use to build a friendship on. I'd just prefer it if you request me, you'd send me a little "Howdy do" as a courtesy cause I'd do the same for you.I will however deny all bands or groups requests that do not come with a mail intro. Sorry, but my page is not a billboard. I'll happily promote friends, so be my friend first.Speaking of which...____________________________________________________ ______________________

Music:

My tastes in tunes is broad and somewhat eclectic. I especially fond of any song which I find inspirational in some way or describes a persons independance. Among my top artists are Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Delta Goodrem, Def Leppard, Shania Twain, Dokken, Martina McBride, Evanescence, Nickelback, Mel C, Will Smith, Rascal Flatts, Lifehouse, Roxette, Aerosmith, Bryan Adams, Chris DeBurgh and Kelly Clarkson...to name a few._________________Feel free to have a listen to some of the selections from my MP3 player further up the page. Some of my all time favorites as copied and uploaded from my Ipod have been made available for the shared enjoyment of my friends. With the variety of types of music I enjoy, I've confident there's something there each of you will enjoy... width="425" height="350" .."COME WHAT MAY" BY EWAN MCGREGOR & NICOLE KIDMAN: THE MOULIN ROUGE SOUNDTRACK

Movies:

Some of my favorite movies the last few years include Batman Begins, the X-Men trilogy, pretty much anything by Pixar, Day After Tomorrow and National Treasure. Some of my all time favorites include Jurassic Park, Escape from Alcatraz, the Towering Inferno and Ferris Bueller's Day Off._________________I don't mind the odd comedy now and again (ala: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) but I've got a real thing for disaster movies. I'm also a huge fan of the (in my humble opinion) greatest movie monster ever devised: Freddy Kruger (thank you Mr Craven).__________________COMING SOON: JULY 7, 2007TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIEI am so looking forward to the release of this next year. I think I'm gonna have to book next years summer holidays to coincide with its release so I can make sure I'm able to make a day of going to see it.. width="425" height="350" ..CGI TRANSFORMATION TEST: OPTIMUS PRIMEA test...a test! Man...can't wait to see what the final, cleaned up and refined version of this looks like... width="425" height="350"

Television:

Being a sci-fi geek I like stuff like the various Star Trek series, Stargate and Smallville. I'm also quick to watch reruns of Dead Like Me, M*A*S*H and CSI. I'm not a big one for game shows or reality shows, but the two big exceptions are The Amazing Race and Discovery Channels Deities of Destruction...The Mythbusters. I've also got a thing for comic book based cartoons, ie: X-Men Evolution, Justice League and the Gargoyles.__________________

Books:

I have to admit, I don't read as much these days as I used to, but there are a number of books and series that I've read in the past which I'm still very fond of and will pick up from time to time for inspiration for my own work.__________________These include:"Jurrasic Park", "Sphere": Michael Crichton... "Pet Semetery", "Firestarter", "It": Stephen King... "Imzadi", "Imzadi II": Peter David... "Chronicle of Ages" series: Traci Harding... Pretty much the entire "Forgotten Realms" Drizzt the Dark Elf Series: R. A. Salvatore... "Grimm Memorials", "Grimm Reapings": R Patrick Gates (a very new addition to my favorites list)... "War of the Worlds": H G Wells... "Macbeth", "Romeo & Juliet": William Shakespeare

Heroes:

My number 1 hero is and always will be my big sis, Am-arie from Australia (the most selfless person I've ever met in my life._________________The following individuals run tied in joint second place._________________________________
