About Me

Important Notice for listeners and operators of Internet Radio stationsThe US Copyright Royalty Board has made a decision that could close most Internet radio broadcasters. It decision sets royalty rates paid by Internet broadcasters.
The decision is being appealed but if this is unsuccessful, royalty rates will be set at such a level that only large corporations will be able to afford them. For more information about this, and to learn how you can help stop this injustice, read my blog entry.Update Unfortunately the Copyright Royalty Board rejected all appeals. However, a bill has been introduced in Congress that, if passed, would nullify the CRB's decision and set new, more reasonable rates.
Now is the time that all US citizens should call/write your representatives in Congress in support of the bill, H.R. 2060 (Internet Radio Equality Act). Track the progress of H.R. 2060 at govtrack.us .
What's all this then? It's my homage to the greatest music to be found on the planet today. I add new awesomeness as I find it. When will it be finished? When I'm dead.
Most of the musicians to be found here I "discovered" while listening to KGRL . Like KGRL, this is about quality and talent, not popularity. I encourage everyone to check out these artists.
I mix it up now and then, so everyone gets a turn in the "top." Eventually. Ah, random Friends -- perfect for a lazy slob like me. Thanks Tom!
