Well.... what to say?
I own a hotel in Tarifa Spain. www.bantitarifa.com
I started it to give myself the opportunity to make parties! The hotel is small with 6 rooms but I will probably need to add a second floor with 10 more rooms due to the number of requests I am getting. The reason I took the property is for the huge space in front. What was once a parking lot has transformed into a pretty good looking garden with hammocks, a huge terrace and a few "Bali" houses filled with cushions. All clients who wish took book a room in summer are warned that once a month(June, July August) we throw a partyin the garden so they shouldn't expect too much sleep! ;)
As for dj'ing, I'm tired of kissing ass to get a gig. I'm just not that type of person. I know I can spin, but I also know that means very little when it come to getting an opportunity to play. I have played all over Tarifa, Marbella, Seville in addition to Vienna(where I started to play 8 yrs ago.).
During the past year my dj'ing has really taken off. I was offered the residency in Cafe del Mar Tarifa, the sales of my first cd have been good and the parties I have made at my hotel in 2008 have all been extreemly sucessfull. BTW, I am known as funkybody. No real reason for the name, just represents the style of music I enjoy as well as brings a smile to those who say it :)
I play sexy funky beats. Thats it! I like my house music pushy, with elements of reality....sax, flute, sweet vocals, etc...
I am not really into electro or minimal....to artificial sounding to me. Some tracks are sweet but most of it puts me in a wierd headspace.
My untimate goal as a dj, until I do it that is, is to play the funky room in pacha. This will complete a very special circle for me. Summer 2000, on holiday in Ibiza I met my future wife in Pacha. Summer 2001, we were back in Ibiza planning our wedding. Summer 2002, back in Ibiza yet again, this time to get married! With 45 of our closest friends. After 4 great years in Vienna, Austria we now call Tarifa home. Ok, its not Ibiza but its magical none the less.....
O ya, dj'ing is my drug. So when I play...no drugs!!! If you get paid to do something....respect yourself and those who pay you!!! Well, that's just what I think....
peace

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet anyone really who loves house music. Its my passion and I enjoy meeting others who feel the same.

Last year I completed my first official cd. "Tarifa Summer Sessions" is a live mix of, whatelse, SEXY FUNKY BEATS. The music comes from all over the world including Brasil, Germany, U.K., France, Turkey....... The songs all have a positive vibe and I feel totally grateful for having had the chance to get to know so many talented artists.

My next projects I hope to self produce at least a few tracks....but finding the time is extreemly hard! I am looking for modern surfer style house music.....so feel free to contact me if your interested to be part of the 2009 cd! Also, I have been given the go ahead to start work on the first Cafe del Mar cd for Tarifa. I am extreemly excited for this project!!!

Besides the cd projects I am also looking to meet others who like house music and dj's from around the world to share small to absolutly huge gigs together...

...when I travel I always try to make connections ahead of time to organize a gig or two. So if anyone is passing through Tarifa during summer feel free to contact me and I'll see what I can do!

Much peace love and respect, f~
