A day in the life of Lunatik, as he struggles through the Modesto streets.Lunatik was born in Modesto California on the 27th of May in 1980.
In the year of 1995 he began rapping to instrumentals on a karaoke machine. One year latter he came up on a mixer and a Casio, keyboard. With this he learned to make his own beats and then recorded lyrics to those beats.
At this time Lunatik could only sell dubs of tapes hand by hand on the streets, and at the local markets and gas stations. Using the money made to refit his studio and get the pro gear needed, he continued without help from anyone. Although it continued to be a constant struggle Lunatik continued without regard to criticism.
Latter on in 1996 and into 1998 Lunatik worked with many of the underground rappers in the local Hip-Hop scene. This allowed him the ability to produce, mix and master many of the local artists in Modesto California. This experience gave him the edge over many of the producers in the same area, and is why his abilities surpass most, if not all, of the local talent.
With the change of the millennium Lunatik upgraded his studio to a KORG D-1600 Digital Workstation, a condenser mic, a Roland xp-50 keyboard, and a CD burner. This improvement not only enhanced his recording abilities but also allowed him to started distributing burned CDs on a constant basis.Many things changed with the New Year. Lunatik began performing local venues and recording in professional grade studios. His consistent ability to produce hot beats landed him in an excellent situation where he could now sell CDS, Beats, and charge for studio time. While doing all of this he took upon his self to take on an apprenticeship to further his engineering capabilities.
As 2003 rolled around Sick and Lunatik dropped the For-Profit Compilation Vol 1. This album featured many local artists from Modesto, Las Vegas, Oakland, and the Central Valley. This album sold more than 6000 copies across the United States without any commercial advertising.
2007 is here and Lunatik is dropping his new solo album, KLIENTELL , the Freestyle Mix tape Vol 1., For-Profit Comp. Vol 2, Sickonds solo, I TOLD YOU SO and what ever else the new year may bring. With all these projects brewing and the constant radio play Lunatik is sure to be a hit in 2007.
