About Me

I am one of those people who is interested in everything and not very good at anything. I have guitars I don't play, a motorcycle that doesn't run, three dogs with a combined weight of fifty pounds and a cat, who weighs about fifty pounds. I live in a great suburb in a house that needs a new roof, new siding, and new floors. So far so good. I like my life, even if some teenaged vandal raccoon stole all the tomatoes out of my 12'x12' garden. I have a fun wife who works her buns off, and a nice little truck with very low mileage, considering it is a 2000. I went to the University of Kansas and studied writing, but I've never done anything with my degree. I've tried to write, but I just don't have that much to say. However, I do have a Christian philosophy that I'm going to put on this page. I figure, even if no one reads it, it will be more interesting than writing about the cat, although the cat is by no means boring.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

God, Ghandi, Einstein, Elvis, John Lennon, Woodie Guthrie, Benjamin Franklin, The Guy Who Invented the Twinkie, That dog training woman who smuggled that inmate out of jail in a kennel (just to ask her what the hell she was thinking), John Locke, Mary Shelly, C. S. Lewis, Frank Herbert, Fred Bear, Freud, William Shakespeare, Ayn Rand (but only for five minutes because I'm sure she would just drone on and on forever), Ray Bradbury (who I got to hear give a talk at the Leid center at KU), Terry Pratchet, T. S. Eliot, Mark Twain, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Patrick O'Brian, Jack London, Emily Dickinson, Berke Breathed, Abraham Lincoln, and everybody else, 'cause I'm just friendly that way.

My Blog

The possibility of a just God.

Don't try to prove the existance of God.  A just God would not want you to prove his existance.  If God were proven to exist, you would have to be crazy not to worship him.  Where is th...

Grace

Grace is merciful judgment.  Jesus Christ is the only being who is morally qualified to judge anyone completely fairly.  When people judge one another it is hipocracy.  Jesus Christ is ...
