This humble, bright, talented and ambitious young man was bornFebruary 4, 1986, in Monroe Louisiana, but at the age of seven movedto Dallas, Texas. Mozez, born Cedric Moses began his career in 2004which was his senior year in high school. Instantly inspired by KanyeWest's "College Drop Out" album Mozez knew he wanted not only to be arapper, but a poet as well. Mozez began taking everyday lifeexperiences, challenges and life lessons and put it on paper and nowhe's sharing it with the world. Motivated by the love and the passionhe has for the rap industry, Mozez continues to be persistent aboutpursuing his dream of being a respected rapper in the streets as wellas to the world. Mozez along with a few close friends, formed a groupcalled E.L.I.T.E which got him started in the rap business. In 2005the group released an underground album, placed a few songs on Myspaceand then began performing at local clubs. As a result, R L ProductionsManagement Firm heard their music on Myspace, saw the group performlive and signed them to a contract in 2007. That event wouldultimately lead to the creation of a solo deal for Mozez to R LProductions Management Firm in June of 2007. His genuine, laid backpersonality is almost too hard to perceive. Mozez acknowledges anumber of influences, including his ultra supportive parents, oldestbrother, twin brother and his friends from the underground groupE.L.I.T.E.Mozez will take rap to a whole new level of entertainment because ofhis creativity and lyrics. Being hands on, and writing all of hismaterial for his up coming album shows he is real and what he speaksis true to form from his perspective. Mozez wants to make sure hismusic touches lives and motivates others to keep it pushing no matterwhat obstacles they may face in life. Mozez is not your typical rapperbecause his music is diverse, and it has lyrical content. He hasjoints you can bounce to in the club and others you can feel the pain.With his own swagger, Mozez's rap sound can be attributed to a varietyof natural talents such as Common, Lupe Fiasco and 2 Pac. Through hismusic the listener hears, sees and understands him as an individual.Maintaining a positive outlook on life has kept Mozez appreciative andsincerely humble. Some do music for the money, but Mozez does it forthe love of hip hop, his family and self. This is his dream and heplans on fulfilling his lifetime goal. He said, "If you want somethinggo get it.
