About Me

While I still consider this site's layout incredibly crappy, I'm at least starting to learn my way around. So, to all you who heckled me to join this site in the first place (Erin, Meg, Joe...), here I am, actually participating. So, here's a better profile thingie:
I'm a graduate of Georgia Southern University, degrees in English and Writing & Linguistics. In addidtion to my studies there I worked consistently at our student newspaper, The George-Anne, serving as a writer, section editor and eventually editor-in-chief for two glorious years (the last of which deemed me officially insane). I love all things Georgia Southern.
I married my soulmate Russ Garlow on Oct. 1, 2005. We currently reside in Screven, GA where he now owns and operates a cool little computer software and systems company. We were very lucky to find the perfect business for him just two miles from our home, and twice a year we host awesome LAN parties in memory of Rick James.
I am now teaching 12th grade English at the high school in our county. It's awesome, but I do miss getting to be with Josie all day.
Like I've said elsewhere, if you can't find me here, you can find me at the following cyberific locations:
My LiveJournal
Facebook
Shoot me an Email
(If you email me, put something recognizeable in the subject line, otherwise you'll get thrown out with the dirty spam.)
Make a message on my fridge!

Rock, folk, alternative country, blues, jazz, all kinds of other stuff...

Movies:

My two favorite movies are Big Fish and Stranger Than Fiction, but I love many more... too many to list.

Television:

I despise television. Except interesting learning shows. And Star Trek. And Stargate. And South Park. And Family Guy...OK, so it's a love/hate thing.

Heroes:

My heroes are my friends. They make life worth living.

It matches my shoes!

Bulletins and such...

I think it's a shame the way bulletins are used/abused on this site. It's a really neat tool for letting people know valuable information and instead people use it like a forwarding machine for m...
