yngwie malmsteeni love the grunge scene. ide love to go to austin *blues man*. ide love to go to a backstreet jazz club.
i love layne staleys vocals, i love dave gilmours fret work and i love jeff buckley's lyrics and his voice................. i find music an extremely beautiful means of expression and emotion
I detest horror films, my imagination's too strong and I relive them, vividly, in my nightmares..........Anything that makes you think is cool like the Butterfly Effect, Donny Darko....... Sin City was spectacular...... Rockstar was cool "we all die young"............. I'm really into anime as well - Princess Mononoke, Howls Moving Castle, Akira, Ninja Scrolls, Detonator Orgun,Ghost in the Shell - the animation and storylines are sublime.........im a fan of musicals too - Wizard of Oz reminds me of being young, Fantasia is great, i love bacchus' orgy and when it gets really dark.........
I really dont like tv, I watch whatever's on, or not at all if I can help it. scrubs .
You could say I'm quite "booky", I read all the time. Shakepeare's plays are really good...I really got into Othello (eventually) after studying it...Midsummer Nights Dream, As You Like It and The Scottish Play. Fantasy is awesome Robin Hobb is an amazing author so is Steven King. Lord of the Rings is also very cool too but can be overrated............. I loved Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials.................. Lord of the Flies, Frankenstein, Handmaids Tale, The Curious Incident, the Dan Brown series, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, Oh! What a Lovely War (very satirical), Alice in Wonderland, Pompeii, Codex, The Book of Dead Days, Inside Out (Nick Mason's biography on Pink Floyd), Room Full of Mirrors (biography of Jimi Hendrix), I, Lucifer, Minority Report, The Ghost Road, Birdsong, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Something Wicked this way Comes, Fear and Loathing........I also read a great deal of poetry... Shakespeare's sonnets, William Blake's Marriage of Heaven and Hell and his Songs of Innocence and Experience, Wilfred Owen, Thomas Hardy, The Canterbury Tales...its the old skool majik that every child loathes
I dont really have or appreciate heroes. There are people I admire musically and intellectually but no one I could outright idolise......Muscially - Dave Gilmour, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Buckley......Intellectually - I love Ray Bradbury's cleverly, satirical writing style
