About Me

Lauren has had a love for music, and singing from an early age. Throughout her younger years, she was privileged to participate in engagements with the Australian Opera Children’s Chorus, Gondwana Voices and the Sydney Children’s Choir, Sydney School Singers, various state and national music festivals, and tours representing the Olympic Arts Festival in the United States. At the completion of high school, Lauren was awarded with the Sony Foundation Music Scholarship for 2001 by the University of New South Wales. In recent years, Lauren has been privileged to work with various ensembles and artists such as the Bel A’Capella Ensemble, Sing NSW, and renowned pianist James Muire. 2006 saw Lauren perform as the sole female finalist in the Australian Singing Competition at Sydney Conservatorium's Verbruggen Hall. The panel awarded Lauren the opportunity to perform with the Sydney Omega Ensemble and pianist Andrea Katz in April 2007 as part of the Art Gallery of New South Wales “Resonate Series”. In August 2007, Lauren was also awarded the Barbara Howard Vocal Prize and first place in the Friends of The State Opera SA Inc.
