The pair, who have already played alongside the likes of Tiefschwarz, Digitalism, Turntable Rockers, Malente and Lützenkirchen to name a few, now hold a residency at the much respected Baalsaal club in Hamburg.
With the new single being co-written and -produced by Moonbootica's Tobitob, they really show off their skills here, creating monster beats stirred together with strong emotional dancefloor.
After last year's plentiful helping of rave medicine, "Dark City", the pair won favour across the board for their "straight to the jugular" take on the electro-tech-house sound. This new EP takes things one step further however, with the A side "Plutonium Boy" taking flight straight out of the pair's top-secret bomb factory! A wonky and obese bassline wiggles its way through the array of sharp beats, building with intense crescendos as layers of thick synth chords take their aim, smashing into the target with unbelievable force. Its a cleverly sequenced musical journey thats full of heart, energy and emotion!
The equally dangerous "Heroes" takes a shuffling electro swing and tweaks another typically manic monster bassline through various adrenal FX rushes. This is a staggering, swaggering and energetic dancefloor tool that boasts more dynamism and clever ideas than so many others around.
Toning things down a notch, but still maintaining a covertly close aim on the disco target, label mate and busy DJ & Producer Ante Perry completes the package with a special dubbed remix of "Plutonium Boy". Spreading the damage zone of this release even wider, Perry abducts the synth stabs of the original and takes them away on a driving, dirty weekend in Berlin...
Besides their work together as MANIAX, Ferris just became a member of the reknowned German group Deichkind while Marc Deal's unique vocals featured on the latest Moonbootica album and will be touring with them this summer on their numerous festival dates.
